After what could be a few years, I happened to watch a full tennis match yesterday. And it was probably the first time i was watching a grand slam quarter final. Good Old Doordarshan usually would only broadcast Semis and Finals.

I would never regret for watching Venus Williams going down against Nicole Vaidisova. What a match it was? After loosing a rather tough set 6-7, Ms. Vaidisova fought back to win the next two sets in style and hence the match 6-7, 6-1, 6-3. The Game was very good to watch. I was so particular to watch the match, in just a few minutes from it started, that i managed to hide the remote of the Hostel common room TV and claimed that i did not know its whereabouts to anybody who came and enquired about it for changing the channel. Ms Williams was in real bad shape during the game. Not that she was better in the past, both the Williams sisters were quite lucky and thats all. She did quite a few mistakes which Ms Vaidisova took to her advantage.






I am now very tempted to see if Ms Vaidisova reaches her debutant Grand Slam finals. If she does, i m going to stick myself to a possible TV and watch the game.
